TED WALTZ
Artist Biography

Ted Waltz was born in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from the Pacific
Northwest College of Art, Portland, in 1970. He traveled in Europe and was a student at the Psychopolis De Vrije Academie, The Hague, Holland, in 1971 and 1972.
He was an instructor at the Pacific Northwest College of Art children's
classes from 1968 to 1974, and an instructor at the School of the Arts and Crafts Society, Portland, from 1974 to 1976. He was Assistant Gallery Coordinator, Hoffman Gallery, Arts and Crafts Society, in 1974 and 1975. During the same two year period he was co-owner and director of the 24th Avenue Gallery in Portland. In 1976 Mr. Waltz relocated to Los Angeles with his wife, Carol Colin.
They jointly owned and directed Oranges/Sardines Gallery from 1978 to 1988. From 1988 to present he has been a self-employed artist.
